1987年生于江西宜春，2012年研究生毕业于中国美术学院跨媒体艺术学院，现生活工作于杭州。

易连的创作形式包括影像、装置、摄影、绘画等。他的作品往往基于个体的生命经验而非纯粹抽象的概念或形式，早期作品侧重于图像中的叙事、超现实场景的营造以及切身经验中荒诞感的捕捉；近几年的创作围绕“他者”“沟通”等关键词展开，艺术家意识到与他者“沟通”的复杂性、不可能性及多层次，试图通过艺术的方式来获得一种路径，得以去连接、理解和体验他者（人/物/生命体），也重新抵达和认识自己。“艺术这件事的魅力在于能做到这点，与他者共享信息以及与更多产生关联。”

近期个展有：“折叠折叠折叠折叠——易连个展”，香港中文大学（深圳）艺术中心，深圳（2021）；“易连——天堂电影院”，本来画廊，广州（2018）；曾两次参加上海双年展（第12届“禹歩”以及第9届“重新发电”），PSA，上海（2012，2018）；连续三年参加中国独立影像年度展（2012-2014）；曾获得2019年集美·阿尔勒发现奖，入围三亚艺术季2018华宇青年奖。作品曾展出于OCAT上海馆、OCAT深圳馆、日本北海道S-AIR艺术驻留机构、上海当代艺术博物馆、旧金山美术学院美术馆、中央美术学院美术馆、北京民生现代美术馆、北京今日美术馆、德国马尔玻璃方雕塑博物馆、澳大利亚白兔美术馆、德国第62届（2016年）和第69届（2023年）奥博豪森短片电影节、深圳美术馆等国内外重要艺术机构。作品被澳大利亚白兔美术馆、天目里美术馆和以色列尧山当代艺术基金会等机构收藏。

Yi Lian was born in Yichun, Jiangxi Province in 1987, completed hismaster degree from School of Intermedia Art, China Academy of Art in 2012 andnow lives and works in Hangzhou.

Yi Lian’s works include images, art installations, photography, paintingand so on. His works are often based on individual life experiences rather than purely abstract concepts or forms. His early works focus on the narrative of images, the construction of surreal scenes and the capture of absurdity in personal experience. In recent years, the key words of his works turn to ‘the other’, ‘communication’ and so on. Becoming aware of the complexity, impossibility and multiple layers of ‘communication’ with the other, the artist tries to obtain a path through art to connect with, understand and experience the other (person/object/life), and also to touch and know oneself once again. “Art is glamorous because of its ability to share information with the other and relate to more.”

His works have been exhibited at OCAT Shanghai, OCAT Shenzhen, S-AIR Art Residency in Hokkaido, Japan, Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Fine Arts San Francisco, Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Minsheng Art Museum in Beijing, Today Art Museum in Beijing, Museum of Sculpture in Marlglassfang, Germany, White Rabbit Art Museum in Australia, 62nd (2016) and 69th (2023) Oberhausen Short Film Festival in Germany, Shenzhen Art Museum and other important art institutions at home and abroad.
